In South Korea around 1944 the company KIA Motors was born. In its beginnings it was born as a Honda motorcycle assembler and for several years it manufactured models of Mazda, Peugeot and Fiat.
Kyongseong Precision (KIA Motors), was the first company to manufacture cars and export them in South Korea.
The first car that was manufactured for passengers was the Brisa 1.0 in 1974. Later in the 80’s, the Bongo, Seres, Besta and Concord models were born. Currently the company belongs to Hyundai Motor Group, which acquired it in 2013.
